Plant Exosomes
PP Exosome · Centella extracellular vesicles
The plant-derived extracellular vesicle that carries actives across the skin barrier.
Biology
Exosomes are nanoscale, membrane-bound vesicles that cells use to send instructions to one another, carrying an RNA, protein and lipid cargo. BAE Lab draws them from Centella Asiatica callus culture — 100% plant-sourced, no animal or human origin.
Mechanism of action
The vesicle crosses the epidermal barrier and fuses with target cells, releasing its cargo directly to keratinocytes and fibroblasts through cell-to-cell signaling. It is the delivery vehicle the other actives ride on — the difference between an active reaching a living cell and sitting on the surface.
Stability & formulation
Produced by patented multi-stage micro/nano membrane filtration to a defined 0.1% purity; controlled culture keeps it consistent batch to batch, unlike donor-variable animal-derived material.
Synergy in the formula
The carrier for the whole formula — it ferries the 9 EGFs, NMN and niacinamide in Exotokine, and Copper Tripeptide-1 in Exotokine Black, to the cells that can use them.
